Criminal Assault Claims

We at Jackson Lees understand the lasting damages an unprovoked attack can cause, which is why we work alongside the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).

The CICA is a government body which compensates innocent victims who have been involved in a violent attack over the last two years.

Our Personal Injury solicitors are here to help you, if you’ve been subjected to:

Am I Eligible for Personal Injury Compensation?

Contact us if you have covered these three factors:

  • You reported the attack to the Police straight away and are cooperating with all of their enquiries, regardless of your attacker’s status.
  • You believe your injuries to be serious enough to qualify for compensation. The minimum compensation received is £1,000 and the maximum is £500,000.
  • Your character at the time of the assault remained calm and you have taken into account any previous convictions as this may reduce or cancel any form of compensation.

How Much Will it Cost Me to Claim for Personal Injury Compensation?

The CICA do not cover your Solicitor fees however, Jackson Lees charge up to a maximum of 15% of the compensation won, and a minimum of £500, plus VAT. If your application to the CICA is unsuccessful then our services are free.
