I am a Paralegal within the Clinical Negligence Team at Broudie Jackson Canter, where I support fee earners and counsel in progressing sensitive and complex cases with diligence and care. My role includes preparing legal documentation, liaising with clients and experts, and ensuring high standards of client care throughout proceedings. I am driven by a deep commitment to justice and advocacy, and I strive to make a meaningful difference for those navigating distressing circumstances — offering clarity, compassion, and steady support every step of the way.
A little about me
I am deeply motivated by work that makes a meaningful difference — particularly in supporting those who feel unheard or overwhelmed by legal processes. My journey into law has been shaped by a commitment to access to justice, which I continue to pursue both professionally and through volunteer work. My experience includes supporting bereaved families through complex and emotionally charged proceedings during the Covid-19 Inquiry, as well as volunteering as a student paralegal for Legacare — a charity providing legal advice and free Wills/LPA drafting for the terminally ill — and with N.E.S.T (North East Solidarity and Teaching). I currently serve as a Core Volunteer with Support Through Court, offering trauma-informed assistance to litigants in person navigating civil and family proceedings. Outside of work, I’m passionate about animal welfare and have long supported rescue efforts, with my family now homing our thirteenth rescue dog. These experiences have taught me the value of empathy, consistency, and advocacy, and continue to inspire my approach to both life and law.
My experience
I joined Broudie Jackson Canter in July 2023 as part of the Major Inquiries and Inquests department and have progressed into a Paralegal role within the Clinical Negligence Team. I hold a Bachelor of Laws from Newcastle University and bring over two years of experience in legal support roles, including work on the UK Statutory Covid-19 Inquiry. I have highly developed interpersonal skills through numerous positions engaging with the general public within large teams over several years, currently holding a position as a core volunteer at Support Through Court; a charity supporting and assisting Litigants in person through civil court proceedings. I am passionate about access to justice and committed to using the law to support individuals through challenging and often distressing circumstances.
