Senior Associate & Solicitor

How can I help you?

I am a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence Team. I support clients and their families through a wide range of claims, including birth injuries, brain damage, spinal and catastrophic serious injuries, fatal accident claims, oncology, gynaecology and GP negligence cases. Over the years, I have acted in claims involving a wide variety of care providers, including dentists, GPs, consultant surgeons, physicians, nurses and midwives, therapists and the Ministry of Defence. I understand that achieving the right outcome is not always just about compensation.

A little about me

Before becoming a solicitor, I was a Registered General Nurse and worked in busy teaching hospitals. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the medical profession, which I have carried with me throughout my legal career. Outside of work, I love spending time with my dog and painting, whether that is furniture, walls or fine art. I have also previously exhibited some of my artwork under my mentor, Terence Bennet.

My experience

I qualified as a Solicitor in 1998 and have worked exclusively in Clinical Negligence since qualifying. In the years since, I have worked for some of the country's foremost specialist firms, building extensive experience across a wide range of complex clinical negligence claims. I attained my RGN (Hons) from Rotherham School of Nursing and gained post-qualification experience at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield and St James University Teaching Hospital in Leeds. I later completed an honours degree in Law at Leeds Metropolitan University before completing the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent University.
