How can I help you?

I am a solicitor working in the Civil Liberties department responsible for running a caseload of inquest matters and actions against the police and other state agencies. Since qualifying as a solicitor, my work focuses on supporting individuals and families who have experienced mistreatment at the hands of public bodies – whether through unlawful detention, excessive force, or loss of life in custody.

A little about me

I joined Broudie Jackson Canter in July 2025, shortly after qualifying as a solicitor via the SQE route. I also hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool. My academic and professional background has deepened my understanding of the social and emotional impacts of injustice and has shaped my desire to support those who feel powerless when navigating the legal system. Joining Broudie Jackson Canter has allowed me to pursue that calling alongside colleagues who share the same values.

My experience

I began assisting on civil claims against the police around two years ago, supporting in cases involving misconduct, unlawful arrest, and breaches of human rights. Through close contact with clients and a deep commitment to understanding their experiences, I developed a strong connection to this area of law. Since them I have progressed to managing my own caseload and have secured positive outcomes for clients facing incredibly difficult circumstances.  Each case I run reinforces my belief in the importance of this work, not just for individual clients but for the wider community.
