My role is essentially to support the legal departments to provide the best legal service to our clients. Whether it be fighting for your liberty or ensuring you move into your dream home on time I want our lawyers to be the best. Getting the best result we can for our clients and making a positive difference for them is our number one priority.

A little about me

I have dedicated over 20 years to legally aided work and passionately believe that access to justice is a hallmark of a truly democratic & civilised society. I am passionate about the concept that everybody has an absolute right to the best representation. My teams are equally as committed to this which makes the job of leading them so satisfying.   

My role now takes me across all areas of law which is really exciting and varied. One thing that unites all the departments is the positive difference that we can make to someone’s life through the law and it is this that makes this work so incredibly rewarding.

My experience

I joined Broudie Jackson Canter in 2000 as a Duty Solicitor and became a Director in 2001. I was trained by Rob Broudie who had an amazing intellectual ability coupled with a desire to challenge authority when it was abused. This started my career as a criminal lawyer and is still what gets me out of bed in the morning!

Challenging the status quo is the best way to ensure that we are the best that we can be and I am extremely proud of our reputation as a law firm that does things differently to other law firms.

My wider role now as the Managing Director enables me to support and develop the department heads and teams but as I also sit on the Board I get to make decisions for the growth and development of the firm as a whole to ensure that every client we represent gets the absolute best.

For me it is all about making a positive difference! #MAPD !
