Contact meHow can I help you?
I am currently working on the Covid Statutory Public Inquiry. I was the lead solicitor on Module 1, 3 and now 6 which is focussed on the Impact of Covid-19 on the Care Sector.
A little about me
I first started working in law firms when I was a teenager and credit a whole range of wonderful mentors for inspiring me to be the lawyer I am today. I have a strong and unwavering belief in Access to Justice and have spent my entire legal career fighting to give a voice to those who need it most.
I work on a number of Pro Bono projects, helping campaign groups to get off the ground and providing guidance where it is needed. I volunteer at Liverpool John Moores University Legal Advice Centre where I work with Liverpool Advocates for Windrush helping the students to guide applicants through the complexities of the compensation scheme.
I am an active member of the Hillsborough Law Now Campaign, fighting to ensure a Duty of Candour and parity of funding is delivered within the Bill.
I am part of the University of Liverpool Professional Mentoring Scheme and assist with Judicial Outreach events for the School of Law and Social Justice. I am passionate about the next generation of Lawyers and the importance of social mobility.
Outside work I am a full time voluntary on call Crew member for the RNLI and the recipient of Cheshire Women of the Year 2024 Team Award for Services to the Community.
My experience
I have been a Solicitor for 20 years, initially specialising in very high cost cases and serious crime. I was one of the founder members of Women In Criminal Law Northern Division and a partner and subsequent director in my previous firm. I am an highly experienced advocate and litigator.
