What do we need?
Due to continuous growth in the Jackson Lees Group we are currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Liberties Lawyer/ Team Head to be based in our Liverpool Office (applications from other geographical locations welcomed due to hybrid working). The purpose of this position is to provide first rate legal services to our clients according to their specific needs, ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the group and by regulatory bodies.
What do you need?
- 4+ years PQE
- Experience of Inquests / Civil Liberties law and Legal Aid funding
- Team management experience preferred
- Excellent leadership skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to build long lasting relationships with Clients
- Trustworthy
Key Accountabilities
- Managing a caseload of of post-inquest civil claims and Actions Against the Police matters
- Supervising a team of Lawyers and Paralegals
- Being accountable for billing targets
- Supporting and developing lawyers in the team
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, suggesting improvements to our services/ processes where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with Lexcel and regulatory requirements
- Draft press releases and marketing articles to share our clients’ stories.
