How can I help you?

I specialise in Medical Negligence and have experience in dealing with a wide range of cases to include complex medical negligence cases which often have long-term consequences for clients. I’ve also acted for clients in cases involving still births, amputations, gynaecological injury, orthopaedic cases and cases where clients have sadly passed away as a result of negligence.

Throughout my career I’ve also dealt with a number of cases which involve a delayed diagnosis of cancer which can often be difficult to prove because there’s a need to show that the delay in the diagnosis has made a difference to the overall prognosis of a client. I also work along-side Julia Hurlbut, Head of Department, assisting and supporting clients and their families in cases where a client has suffered head or brain damage as a result of medical negligence, including where injury may have tragically occurred at birth.

A little about me

I’m passionate about Medical Negligence and committed to helping clients and their families during one of the most difficult times of their lives. Medical Negligence cases can be complex and can take several years to reach a conclusion. It is therefore important to acknowledge that every client has different experiences and objectives when pursuing a claim, some may be seeking a compensation claim to assist them with living with their disabilities, whereas others may just want to understand why something has happened and reassurance that this can be avoided in the future.

I’m also passionate about gaining the client’s trust from the initial first meeting and maintaining a good relationship with the client throughout the case at a time which can be difficult and emotional for them. It’s rewarding to see the positive difference a successful claim can have in improving a client’s life when they’ve been severely injured.

My experience

After joining Jackson Lees in September 2010, I’ve been practicing Medical Negligence for 7 years, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2015 and gaining a wealth of experience in this area. I studied law at Liverpool John Moore’s University and completed my legal education at the University of Law, Chester.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to the theatre and city breaks.
